'Tis the season. Made famous by the holidays, pizzelles are a staple on the Italian dessert table. We love to hear stories about the old family irons, the personalized crests in the center, the different flavors, and most of all, the traditions for eating them. Some of us enjoy them with coffee as breakfast; others as a dessert. Our favorite way to eat them is wrapping two of them around creamy gelato.
